Ellen Ratner joined FOX News as a contributor in October 1997. Michael Isikoff joined the Washington Post in 1981, where he covered the Justice Department, the Iran-Contra Affair, and Latin American drug operations. In 1994, he moved to Newsweek, where he covered the Oklahoma City bombing, the 1996 election campaign, and other national issues. His exclusive reporting on the Lewinsky scandal gained him nationwide attention, including profiles in the New York Times and the Washington Post. He is a news analyst for MSNBC and a frequent guest on numerous news programs including NBC's Meet the Press and PBS's Charlie Rose. Isikoff lives with his wife and daughter in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Matt Bai, National Correspondent - Since joining Newsweek in January 1997, Matt Bai has covered national affairs stories in every part of the country and overseas. Based in the Washington bureau, he specializes in urban affairs, politics and law enforcement. Most recently, Bai wrote on Jack Kevorkian's arrest and the Salt Lake City Olympics scandal, and he profiled Minnesota's unlikely governor, Jesse Ventura, during the first days of his administration.

Eleanor Clift is a contributing editor for Newsweek magazine. She reports on the White House, presidential politics, and a variety of national issues. Clift is a regular panelist on the nationally syndicated show, "The McLaughlin Group," and a political analyst for the Fox News Network. Formerly Newsweek's White House correspondent, Ms. Clift also served as congressional and political correspondent for six years. She was a key member of the magazine's 1992 election team and followed Bill Clinton's campaign from the start. In June 1992, she was named Deputy Washington Bureau chief. According to Brill's Content, a journalism review, Ms. Clift is one of the most accurate predictors among the pundits on the political talk shows. 

Jonathan Alter graduated from Harvard in 1979, was an editor of the Washington Monthly in 1981-82, and remains a contributing editor. He joined Newsweek in 1983, where he is a senior editor and columnist. He joined NBC News as a contributing correspondent in 1996 and appears frequently on the "Today" show, NBC Nightly News and MSNBC. He is married, has three children, and lives in Montclair, New Jersey. 

John LeBoutillier, a NewsMax.com pundit, is a former U.S. Congressman and a nationally recognized political commentator. Mr. LeBoutillier rose to national prominence in 1974 when, as a college student at Harvard, he raised over a quarter million dollars for a former Republican challenger against South Dakota Senator George McGovern. Mr. LeBoutillier's efforts caught the notice of President Ford's re-election campaign and in 1976 he was appointed regional coordinator, responsible for all field activities in New Jersey. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College, Mr. LeBoutillier completed a master's degree at Harvard Business School. 

In 1980, Mr. LeBoutillier was elected to represent New York's 6th District. He defeated a 16-year Democrat incumbent and became the youngest member of the 97th Congress. In the House, Congressman LeBoutillier served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and as a member of Special House POW/MIA Task Force. 

After leaving Congress, Mr. LeBoutillier continued to be active in POW/MIA affairs. He currently runs "Sky Hook II Project," dedicated to recovering living American POWs in Southeast Asia. He also has been a frequent commentator and host of several media programs. He has been a frequent guest on many national talk show programs, including the Today show, ABC's 20/20, Nightline and CNN's Crossfire.

Diane Alden is a research analyst, writer, historian and political economist. She writes a column for NewsMax.com ("pundit" section), Enterstageright, American Partisan and many other online publications. She also does occasional radio commentaries for Georgia Radio Inc. and is a frequent guest of radio shows all over the country. 

Better known on the e-'zine circuit as the "prairie pontificator," Diane is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She has a degree in political science and economics and grad work in international economics and Eastern European studies.

Diane's articles have appeared in print and electronic media and in several international newspapers including the Times of India and Belgrade News.

Recently, she has been raised to the highest level of pontificating: NewsMax.com has made her the only woman pundit on their popular news Web site. 


Lisa Beyer, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, joined TIME magazine in 1988 as a staff writer for TIME International. In November 1990, she was named associate editor, writing for the World section. In the fall of 1990, Beyer traveled in Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Bahrain. On the heels of that experience and her work on our Persian Gulf War coverage, she was made TIME's Jerusalem bureau chief in September 1991.

A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Lisa was a journalism major at the University of Texas. She was also editor of the Daily Texan and worked part time for the Austin American-Statesman.

After graduation in 1983, Lisa was awarded a Henry Luce Scholarship and traveled to Hong Kong to work as a staff writer for Asiaweek. When the scholarship expired, Lisa stayed on, advancing quickly to become a correspondent and then a senior correspondent covering Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore.

Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor, graduated from Princeton University and went to work at the Washington Times as an editorial writer. He has worked on Pat Buchanan's Republican presidential bids, serving as his campaign manager in 1996. 

 

Matthew Robinson,  Assistant Editor,  graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Philosophy. After working as a radio show producer on the west coast, and working for the Center for the Study of Popular Culture, he was a writer and opinion page editor at Investor's Business Daily. Mr. Robinson was a Phillips Foundation Fellow before joining Human Events in January, 2001. 

Peter King is currently covering breaking and non-breaking news stories around the nation, King also anchors newscasts for CBS and co-owned NBC Radio/Spectrum Networks.

A 1978 graduate of Ithaca College in New York, King began his radio career at WHSH-FM in Albany. His resume also includes stops at WKLX-FM in Rochester, and WHEN in Syracuse, where he served for ten years as an on-air personality and program director. In 1994, King took a position as Morning News Anchor at WNDB in Daytona Beach. From 1994-97, he was a reporter/anchor at WWNZ in Orlando, and for a time, was the station's news director. During that period he also served as a stringer for CBS Radio. Since 1997, he has served as a CBS anchor-reporter, covering stories that range in diversity from the Super Bowl and World Series, to hurricanes and tornadoes, to the Paducah and Jonesboro school shootings.

He also has been primary reporter for CBS Radio's coverage of NASA space shuttle missions since 1996. Among his recent assignments for CBS was coverage of the New Year's Eve celebration in New York's Times Square.

Vera Gibbons
is a Staff Writer at SmartMoney Magazine covering consumer features on topics ranging from charitable giving to workplace trends.

Ms. Gibbons joined SmartMoney in 1997 and has since 
appeared on numerous national programs including CNN, CNNfn, Good Morning America, MSNBC and Fox News Channel. Topics range from where to find the best 
vacation packages, what stocks to buy now, how to 
manage your debt, saving money on prescription drugs, 
preparing for tax season and what to ask for in your 
severance package, to name a few.

In addition, Ms. Gibbons is a regular on-air contributor 
to NBC’s “Early Today” where she researches work 
trends, writes reports and presents tips for “On the Job” 
segment.

Ms. Gibbons was promoted from Reporter/Researcher to Staff Reporter in 1998 and then to her current position as Staff Writer in 2000.

Ms. Gibbons is a former Contributing Editor for 
Offspring Magazine, where she wrote features and 
columns on parental issues and trends. She was also an 
on-air Contributor to Good Day New York’s “What to do 
with your kids during summer break” weekly series.

Ms. Gibbons began her career as a journalist at Inc.

Jersey Gilbert ( Financial Editor - Expertise: Investing, Economics and Personal Finance) is the financial editor at SmartMoney magazine and SmartMoney.com, where he writes his column, The Long View.
